Did your alternative payment method get charged for the whole order?
This usually happens if your order total is more than the value of your Uber Eats eGift
Uber Eats may place an authorisation hold on your account for the following reasons:
- When a payment method is newly added or unused for several days.
- At the start of an order, converted to a charge for the final order value once the order is completed. (Your receipt will reflect the correct amounts charged to each payment method.)
- Authorisation holds should be voided from your payment method within a few business days, depending on your bank's policy. If you would like to confirm a specific item on your statement, please contact your bank directly.
